Kasia & Ben Morris were married at St Mary’s Church in Leith on Friday 12th October, 2012 before travelling to one of our favourite Edinburgh wedding venue, The Caves. This is a hidden gem of a Catholic church, St Mary Star of the Sea Church and the service was conducted by Father Francis Murray, who was without doubt one of the most personable and charming priests I’ve had the pleasure of working with. Unusually he allowed us to place a camera on the alter which produced some cracking shots! We wouldn’t normally ask, but the church with it’s freshly laid wood floors look at it’s best in glorious symmetry so a big thanks for allowing us to do that!
Kashia traveled down the aisle to Canon in D major by Pachelbel. Readings were performed by Emma Wrigley, Kamila Malek and Andrew Ritchie, while the choir sang Ave Maria during the signing of the register. The new Mr and Mrs Morrision traveled down the central aisle together to the Wedding March by Felix Mendelssohn followed by the bridesmaids; Marta Skorupska and Edyta Wernicka and Best men; James Houghton and David Paddison. Working together with Duke Photography I think we captured the fun and energy of the day….
The guests were given a guided tour of Edinburgh before arriving at The Caves, and it was there they pulled funky shapes well into the night.
