26 Sep Ladykirk Church wedding
Katie & Jamie
Katie & Jamie’s wedding had everything we’d hoped for from a country wedding in the Scottish borders – the bride riding a horse, romantic kisses in fields and of course a massive marque filled with friends and family.
I filmed Jamie and the boys at a pub near Coldstream while the Jen spent the morning with the girls preparing at the family home at Siprim Farm.
The ceremony was held at the very historic Ladykirk Church which sits near the banks of the River Tweed and just a stones throw from English border.
Katie’s mum did a super job of the wedding arrangements, with only one thing left out with her control – the weather. Thankfully it turned out glorious and allowed the guests to spend most their time outside. I especially loved that the side of the marque was left open – it was like having dinner in a field.
Special mention goes out to guests Katie and Ian – we filmed their wedding back in December -and between them and my fiance Jen supplied the laugh of the day. Jen had never met Katie, although having edited her film (half of which is her hugging people), Jen kind-of forgot she hadn’t actually met her in person, so Jen gives her a big hug. It wasn’t until after she clicked and felt so embarrassed! I guess it just felt right, lol…
The day went splendidly and we captured some stunning shots – aided by the fact that Katie & Jamie struck a sound balance between spending time with their photographer and time spent with guests.
I loved that we were able to capture so many elements that were important to Katie & Jamie, and I hope our film is a special momento for them!
