Greyfriars Kirk wedding
Alyson & Gavin

Alyson & Gavin’s Greyfriars Kirk wedding took place on the 31st of may 2014. The ceremony was conducted by Richard Fraser within of one Edinburgh’s most iconic locations before friends and family travelled to Dundas Castle for the reception.

Alyson prepared herself with the girls in Trinity, while the boys readied themselves on the historic Royal Mile. Alyson arranged to have the car piped by Bill and George to the church with two pipers and traveled down the aisle to a full choir who sounded fantastic.

At Dundas Castle the couple opted to visit the roof of the Auld Keep and as per Dundas tradition made their entrance to their guests down the sweeping staircase.

Somehow they found more time for photos with Alan and Jackie at Rankine Photography after the meal, before their first dance as husband and wife. It was a wonderful day, and I think we captured lots of happy friends and family!

I’m sure Alyson & Gavin both had a great time on their Californian road trip, how could you not!?! I’m sure their settling into their new life together now, and hopefully they can enjoy this momento of their big day…
