Broxmouth Park wedding
Kaleigh & Nick

Kaleigh King and Nicholas David Wood were married on the afternoon of 9th November 2013 at Broxmouth Park near Dunbar in East Lothian. We we last here when we filmed the Vintage Wedding Show photoshoot earlier in the year.

Our Broxmouth Park wedding video begins as Kaleigh and the girls prepared in the Georgian mansion while Nick and his best man prepared in one of the recently refurbished holiday cottages within the grounds of the estate. Simon, the estate owner was onsite making sure it all went off without any hiccups.

While it was hoped the ceremony would take place outside in the walled courtyard the onset of heavy rain forced the ceremony to take place in the Marquee. Unusually Kaleigh was walked down the aisle her dad Tom and her stepdad John to a beautiful strings version of ‘Titanium’ by David Guetta. The Humanist ceremony was conducted by Caroline Lambie, and as she explains ‘Humanism means equality of all people in all areas of life. It means not judging people with your own values and accepting that people are different from each other.’

The couple opted for two readings by the bridesmaids, the first of which was by Nick’s sister Alex who read ‘I will be here’ The whole congregation joined together to sing ‘I Love You Baby’ by Frankie Valli before the second reading by Kaleigh’s best friend who read ‘love me when I am old’ by Bee Rawlinson.

This was my first wedding with the photographers and we travelled to the jetty where we got some of the best images of the day. The weather relented just long enough to capture a group shot with all the guests on the stairs.

Kaleigh wasn’t shy about making a speech, and it went down a storm. Best man Gavin also gave a speech in which he gave the guests the low-down on ‘Woody’ AKA or Mr Dyson AKA Antony Costa AKA and his antics.

Kaleigh & Nick first dance took place to the beats of Florence and the Machine – ‘You’ve got the Love’. In contrast, I opted to us Christina Perri ‘A Thousand Years’ from the twilight films for this highlights film as I felt it captured the elegance of the day.

So what did Kaleigh & Nick think of this film – ‘I loved the wedding trailer really amazing job done!’
